When building Cyanogenmod there is a recovery.img in the out/target/product/devicename which includes the actual fingerprint which is used for the baserom. If TWRP or an other recovery is used there is a chance that incremantals will work, but only if TWRP is using the same device fingerprint as cyanogenmod.
I get the following error when I install incremental updates (via TWRP 2.8.6.0) for my OnePlus One.
"Package expects build fingerprint of oneplus/bacon/A0001:5.1.1/LMY48B/YOG4PAS1N0:user/release-keys; or oneplus/bacon/A0001:5.1.1/LMY48B/YOG4PAS1N0:user/release-keys; this devices has oneplus/bacon/A0001:4.4.2/KVT49L/XNPH25R:user/release-keys."
Here is my build.prop of my base rom (on which the incremental is applied)
and here the updater-script of the incremental zip
