When using whatsapp-for-linux on Linux (versions obtained via Git, AppImage, AUR, or building from source), I observed that the application does not log out or remove login credentials upon exiting. This poses a security risk as sensitive information persists in the system.
Expected behavior
Implement a standard logout feature that removes login credentials upon user logout or application closure.
Explicitly seek user consent for any stored information or browser permissions.
Provide an option to remove data when uninstalling the application.
