As others have mentioned: Dead or Alive 2 Ultimate (haven't tried the first) is dropping frames hard during certain effects. This can be replicated in "Survival" mode by hitting the opponent into the Danger Zone of the stage and the explosion effect going off tanks the frame-rate. (This is on Windows with a Nvidia GPU)
On the Steam Deck (Linux/"Steam Arch"), the emulator will load the .iso file, show the warning screen and then slowly load the opening cut-scene... with no cut-scene display beyond the subtitles. I'm assuming this is a codec issue, as with non-emulated Windows applications/games on Linux (Deck and Otherwise), but I'm not 100% sure. I can't test the performance there for this, but it's something to keep in mind (the deck uses an AMD iGPU, so different in case of testing performance in the future).
These issues seem fixed with version 0.7.132 on the Discover/KDE app store version.
The only issue I have now is the Deck thinking "X" is Steam + X (pops open the virtual keyboard) in Desktop mode, which might be the "mode setting" for desktop mode on the Deck, I'll have to test that. But I don't think that is an emulator issue.
Thank you for the updates.
Well, now GTA3 has issues with performance just the same way Vice City does. Both were ported by Rockstar Vienna and have really good features, so that's a reason to emulate this version. The issue now is that yeah, both have bad performance when the characters face North or South. Even in the slightest move the game will run slow. Hope there can be a fix for this, because turning off some NVIDIA stuff in Control Panel didn't work.
