Nvida GTX 1650 AMD Ryzen 5000 series 8gb ram Direct 3D 12 (Whoops my GPU doesn't Vulkan)Also Vulkan doesn't Work (Doesn't boot up the game or show it on the icon on the window) I use the unleashed mod manager to turn it on so is there another way to turn it on other than the mod manager?
Patches on or off don't effect the result
1st Main area Crashes randomly making going into levels hard
Windmill Isle Act 1 Day Grass exploding which is a seizer warning
Windmill isle Act 2 Day Works perfectly with slow down
Cutscene 1 Crashes with the same error as the main area
Cutscene 2 Works Perfectly
NIGHT Act 1 Works perfectly
Plane Section 1 Works perfectly
all i have to know is if someone else is having the same issue i commented above keep playing until you get to the boss battle in mazuri also the version i used to run the game can be found in the first post. i changed some settings in the config file to make it run properly tho
Also some people say that to "fix" the grass explosion on windmill isle act 1 you press F5 well that isn't a fix as its a work around the issue and it doesn't fix it permanently you boot it up and you have to press F5 again, it's inconvenient. Also I use a 60fps patch.

cutscene plays on my end. then it hangs in a black screen when its supposed to get into gameplay. that is the issue im having even trying to skip it does not work. the problem is when it loads gameplay

Wait that was NOT the boss battle cutscene it was the entering Mazuri for the first time in the day cutscene Sry I got confused Also Entering the level hub crashed the game xenia.log

What about zipping the file? I know because I uploaded .zip formats and it works with all the files intact. Also I want to test the cutscenes if it works and log every error that isn't a duplicate. And I want to test how the whole game works with a AMD Cpu and Nvidea GPU and then make a results table on which cutscene and stages work or not.

@EpicDoodleboy2 your save allowed me to select this boss battle from world map the game froze on this loading screen. emulator is still running. no crash or anything. the game just "froze" xenia.log
I think it might depend on your pc specs and if their updated to the latest firmware also can you try Rooftop run act 1 Night please to see if it crashes for you also the game can freeze for me as well on different areas and its random so it could be different depending on what type of hardware you are using. Relaunch the game and go back to the boss beetle and press F5 before going in. Also I done Holoski Act 1 Day on that save.

Rooftop act1 loads and works until You after put in the yellow gem and then crashes after you enter the room. If you manage to finish it can you send me the save file plz.
F5 did not work i was able to fully make rooftop run act 1 start to end with 0 issues besides some small fps drops when there is a big amount of objects on screen. adding the save file with the stage cleared 53450812.zip

I might know why the game gets stuck at loading, The game depends on a lag spike to know when to get out of the loading screen due to consoles lagging it lets the loading screen know the assests have been loaded but when it is smooth and never lags the game doesn't know what todo so you get softlocked. So the 60fps patch needs to put 30fps to the loading screens which will give it enough time to load the assets. Or I've seen when it hits 59-60fps it gets softlocked but when its over that number it loads fine so 60fps should be 64fps or above to make loading much easier.
So I made a results Folder including the errors I got from playing the game and the results of which Stage or cutscene that Does or Doesn't work. Done Aptos to Hokoski. I haven't done all stages yet alr.... Its using my hardware. Xenia Canary Unleashed results AMD CPU + NVIDEA GPU V1.zip

ok I'm going to cheat a little as I have concluded that SU is impossible to beat without major patches so if you want to play SU for Xenia I would recommend the SU HDR mod it runs hub worlds better maybe stages well for crashes but not performance it WILL give less performance. https://gamebanana.com/mods/445141. Ill continue but its recommended to get the mod.

Loading can be less painful by setting the "texture_cache_memory_limit_soft_lifetime" from 30 to 12 well for me

Hey Pablo, Have you tried setting your "texture_cache_memory_limit_soft_lifetime" from 30 to 15 in you Xenia config file it could fix somethings.

Can't do credits due to a AMY crash but I did finish the final boss but Shamar crashes the game. I got VERY Lucky to avoid a AMY crash. @pablo5425

As if Xenia Canary https://github.com/xenia-canary/xenia-canary/commit/feb88ee6b1bedbfcfee4d5e682b3bf782cfa8a9b , you're able to play Sonic Unleashed using D3D12 ROV again. I was able to change the rendering engine from Vulkan to DirectX 12 and haven't suffered a guest/host crash yet. Textures look okay as well, and so does the lighting and ambient occlusion. There's an annoying loading-zone bug that I encountered as well where it would softlock/never load the next area. There needs to be specific parameters in order to run in D3D12 mode now so as to not get flashbanged
Additional notes: Attempting to upscale to 1080p via config does nothing other than upscale the UI and font. To truly upscale the resolution, you must increase the draw_resolution_scale (x/y) parameter from 1 to 2. This has the unfortunate side effect of breaking certain stages.
store_shaders is necessary for D3D12 ROV, as Adabat stages will flashbang you, or blindfold you. host_guest_stack_sync is to fix the LUA LongJMP crash that happens, clear memory page state is also necessary to fix the exploding textures.
Suggested Tags: state-gameplay, gpu-shading-errors, gpu-drawing-corrupt, gpu-readback (memexport is only needed to fix a majority of the small shading errors)
I would recommend using D3D12 instead of Vulkan, as the latest Canary has fixed buffer

Have you enabled Flush GPU Cache in your settings? I've encountered the exploding polygons issue but enabling that parameter fixed that on the version I tested (Aug 11, 2024)

Yeah im pretty sure thats from the actual fur that comes off of him. disabling it using a mod fixed it so thats definitely the cause.

Understood. I reported this issue because it had never happened before (at least until March 2024).

game works perfectly with the correct settings. graphic glitches cant be seen until savannah citadel act 1, which can be fixed with mods becomes unplayable at egg beetle stage. map loads. intro cutscene works perfectly, but it hangs in a black screen when it transitions to gameplay
