As it stands now, gameplay is somewhat testable and functionality is being added. However, projectiles seem to fire at speeds well in excess of what the player can see and gauge with their own eyes, and blocks seem to settle in under two seconds.
This is a problem for player feedback. When a player sits down to complete a few single-player levels, very little of their time will actually be devoted to the act of shooting at the enemy fortress. The most time will be spent building; there is an inordinately small amount of time in which they will watch their shots occur and the results of those shots.
This will become especially problematic when a player has waited 5 hours for a response from a friend and finally has a chance to take a shot. When it concludes in barely the amount of time it takes for the brain to process it, it becomes extremely unsatisfying.
Sound feedback does not need to be a priority, but currently, the player needs solid visual feedback to reward them for their shots. Projectiles should travel slow; this is a game about cats and aliens, not realistic warfare. Physics for objects hit should be slow; the player should be able to take in every precious second of their opponent's fortress toppling.
We should all agree upon a sort of target average time for a shot cycle to complete, from the player firing to all physics objects settling and signaling the end of a turn.
