Original PlayStation 3 Controller didn't work! #1

I made the installation following step by step, but none of my 3 original playstation 3 controls worked, remembering that I use them perfectly with nintendont and retroarch on the wii, but with fakemote the lights are blinking and not fixed, very strange , will it still only work with playstation 4 control? Another thing, how is the wii remote cursor using the playstation 3 control, to move it use the L3?

If you use base IOS 57, only one USB port of the two works. You also need to press PS to make the DS3 to send input data.

I managed to install it, I had used slot 249, which was problematic since I had installed PortablizeMii and as I used 250 more with the usbloader gx I left it to fix later, so by chance I saw your post on gbatemb about installing in the slot 252installed it and I was good and I already took the opportunity to release the 249 and fix it, but as I used the ps3 control I noticed a few things, first that I can't control the wii remote cursor with it, it would be nice to be able to move it to the left analog L3 and then assign a button maybe R2 or L2 to mark with it, this would help the IGR coming out of the games and VC from wii (the best would be a full custom mapper like aurelio did in rvloader), another thing I noticed was that the control light ps3 the first led sometimes it turns on the first light, but most of the time all the lights blink with it working (I think it's some sync thing to regulate this), as for the R3 to change from nunchick to class ico controller worked perfect without any delay, I noticed a certain heating on the wii when using Fakemote, so far this was my tests, thank you so much my dear for another great project.

@spielvan

-L3 move for nunchuck camera can only be done if you recompile the project with altered code -Full custom mapper is coming later -Blinking leds is known

but with fakemote the lights are blinking and not fixed

in my case when i connect the controller to my wii the leds do not start blinking at all (tried with both usb ports and 2 different controllers). Am i missing something?

It needs to be original ps3/ps4 controls and they have the same Vid and Pid that you have in the fakemote compatibility table, to use the two USB ports you need to install it on ios58.

eadmaster commented 2 years ago

yes, the vid and pids matches, one conttoller i've tried is the original DS3.

Which usb port is supposed to work on ios57, upper or lower?

I'm booting games from the internal SD via Wiiflow. Any custom setting is required in the usb loader?

I'll try to tell you what I did, first of all forget to install fakemote on ios that you use example: 249,250,251, 224. What I recommend is to install it on ios 252 or 253 and in base you leave ios 58, I installed it here ios 253 and base 58...

ok, figured out you must plug the controller in the UPPER USB port while the system is turned on off or it won't be recognized.
