So, I wanted to use this to stream from my jailbroken Vita to my laptop just for streaming games I play on it to friends or whatever. I'm aware that the plugin itself doesn't handle audio, so I went out and purchased a cheap male-to-male 3.5mm audio jack cable, as well as a USB C to 3.5mm female audio cable so I could use my headset and stream the audio at the same time, as my laptop normally only has one audio jack. The setup is a bit awkward, but it works well enough, and it's completely fine when I use my jailbroken 2DS using Snickerstream and OBS to stream to my friends.
The setup is also mostly fine for my jailbroken Vita 1001, but only mostly. I can get my headset set up fine with this system and get it so that the audio goes from my Vita to my laptop. I can hear the audio in my headset, and see it being picked up by OBS. Similarly, I can get the video streaming to OBS fine on its own. However, the main issue is that I can't get both working fine at the same time.
I'll plug in the Vita's USB cable to my laptop port, but the instant that the Vita's USB cable touches the Vita's port after that, the audio completely cuts out to my computer. I can see the video fine then, but I can't hear anything through my computer anymore, and OBS shows that it's no longer picking up the audio. I can hear the audio fine while the USB cable is plugged into both my laptop and Vita when the 3.5mm male-to-male cable isn't plugged in, and it's coming out of my Vita's speakers or when my headphones are plugged into my Vita, but not when it's plugged into my laptop.
Even weirder, it works totally fine when I run this whole setup with my boyfriend's desktop PC, so I think the issue lies somewhere with my computer's USB ports, but I don't know what it could be. Is there some interaction between the Vita's USB cable and USB ports regarding audio that I'm not aware of? I have a USB 2.0 port and two USB 3.0 ports, which I've tried using, and it doesn't seem to change the issue. An additional USB C 3.0 port is being used for my headset, and I don't think I can plug my Vita in there anyway. I've also tried both the regular and OLED versions of this plugin on the system, and installing it both manually and via AutoPlugin 2, which hasn't helped. I have absolutely no clue how to fix it at this point, and am hoping the creator or someone else might know what the issue is.
