[Exercise] Project user input: allow free entry for choice list #34

Description

For project user input that uses ‘Choice list’, QuickCapture 1.8 has added an option to allow free text entry as the user input. image

Test

  1. Sign in to QuickCapture Designer.
  2. Click New project and select Start from template
  3. Browse templates under From Esri and find the project called Police Officer Reporter.
  4. Click the template, and click Use template.
  5. After the new project is created successfully, you will be on the project edit page.
  6. Click Settings and select Project user input.
  7. Update the project user input to be a choice list.
  8. Enter your list of choices.
  9. Check "Allow free text entry" and Save the project.

Verify

  1. Download the project to QuickCapture mobile app.
  2. Enter free text in the project uesr input.
  3. Start collecting data and send the captured records.
  4. Verify that your free text input are sent successfully with the captured records as for the data attribute: Police Officer.
