Description

ArcGIS QuickCapture can be configured to automatically capture photo metadata that enables the use of Oriented Imagery in ArcGIS. Enabling oriented imagery on a project does not result in a change in the mobile user experience but does provide users with the following capabilities.

Note this is a beta feature for the 1.8 release.

Test

Steps:

  1. Please download this document for detailed instructions. 2020-10-29 ArcGIS QuickCapture and Oriented Imagery Workflows Early Adopter Guide.docx

  2. For the actual testing, start from 'Enabling Oriented Imagery in an existing ArcGIS QuickCapture project' section in the document.

  3. Use Appendix A,B,C,D to better understand the workflow and how each application interacts with each other.

Verify:

  1. Verify Oriented Imagery can be successfully enabled (for point layer that you own) in the web designer.
  2. Verify no submission failure in the QuickCapture app.
  3. Verify no records are missing, and all photos captured from the QuickCapture app are correctly displayed in the Oriented Imagery Viewer.
  4. Verify the angles of the camera, and the coverage view of the photos are also correct.
