Exercise

Configure map for QuickCapture project - Expand for detailed instructions

### Configure map for QuickCapture project 1. Open the same project in Designer. 1. By default, a new project will use your Organization's default map. 3. To use your own map, uncheck **Use organization default basemap** option. 3. Click **Change** to open the **Select a map** page. 4. Select a map on the page and it automatically goes back to the project page. Verify that the selected map shows on the map card. 1. ### Display map in project 1. Open up a project with a web map as the map 2. Capture some records 3. Open the map and navigate around the map to cache some tiles 4. Take the device offline 5. Confirm that the captured records and basemap continues to display, but no new tiles are added when the map is pan/zoomed 6. Return online and check the map continues 7. Close the project and re-open it and the map 8. The original web map should display ### Default vtpk map 1. Take the device offline for 30 seconds or more 2. Open up a project with a web map as the map 3. Capture some records 4. Open the map 5. You should be given the option to **USE DEFAULT**, click on this option 7. A default background should display in the map, as should the captured records 8. Close the project and take the device online 9. Re-open the project and map, the original web map should display

Enhancement requests: I would like more options to bring the basemap data offline. For instance the Forest Service always requires mobile apps to works offline. Options that would be good is to use a side loaded basemap and having ability to determine the various scales in which the basemap is stored. From county to street for example.

Not sure if this comment goes here. Issue with Project/Workspace not removing from device. This is more of a UI observation.

In ArcGIS QuickCapture web app, I deleted a project (Forest Activity Tracking Demo) - when I go to my Device the Workspace indicates that the project is still available.

I understand that I can delete the workspace from device by clicking "i" and deleting image

Wondering if it would be useful to present another message to the User that the project is no longer available.
