1.7.2 version reports as 1.6.5.3 #57

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install 1.7.2
2. Install completes
3. git version 1.6.5.3

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected: git version 1.7.2

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Datestamp of 'git' in /usr/local/git/bin is 7/27/10 11:46 AM 
Seems to be the new one going by file date. Version not changed in module?

Please provide any additional information below.
