Can NetMoss be used to integrate microbiome data from different sites in different populations? #1

Only microbiome data of fecal samples from different groups were used in the article to address the issue of batch effects in data integration. Can NetMoss analysis be used if it is microbiome data of different sites from different groups, such as fecal microbiome data from group A and cecum microbiome data from group B? If your data come from different microbial communities, I do not recommend using NetMoss to address the integration issue.
