Page Title in Address Bar

Hi xiaoxiaoflood. I've read your issue blurb so I don't expect you to do anything to begin with. At this point I'd just like to hear your expert opinion if you consider it possible at all to revive legacy Firefox' tweak to show a page's title in Firefox' Address Bar rather than the URL?

The two old XUL extensions that did this in Firefox legacy are attached just for reference (simply remove the .zip from each file name) add_page_title_to_url_bar-1.0.20-fx.xpi.zip page_title_in_url_bar-6.2-fx.xpi.zip

Also there used to be a similar userChrome.css + url-title-hover.xml solution, but that stopped working, too, with some recent FFx update.

What do you think? Or have you maybe even looked into this at some point already?

For sure it's possible, it's doable. Unfortunately, I don't have time to work on that.

Just the great news from you that it's feasible is encouraging already!

@xiaoxiaoflood - I bet you are very well aware that at the time of my posting the discussion feature was not active yet as option under Issues.. so I feel a bit irritated that you mention that at all, even more so since I did post my recent question Can firefox-scripts also be applied to Firefox Android [root]? correctly in that discussion section, so obviously am not just aware of it, but have already heeded your request to your community here, without you having to state anything to begin with .. ;) ?

Anyway, when you created this issue there was already an issue template requesting not to open issues requesting to fix other legacy addons, but yet I left this one open:

@LeeBinder you may be interested in this. I haven't tested it but supposedly it works with Fx 99.

Nice, thank you 👍 . For now I just bookmarked it because Aris-t2's Tab label in URL bar is still working 100% even in Fx 99 :)
