Is there anywhere that I can learn more about how the native keep alive option works? It looks like... #31

Is there anywhere that I can learn more about how the native keep alive option works? It looks like it’s running a process on the machine that I connect to, so I’d like to know more about what it’s doing, how it keeps ports open, etc.. Thanks!
