Send copied URL results in two links with one corrupted #583

This problem does not reproduce on 0.3.1.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Copy URL from other text area (i.e. Chrome address bar), paste into pidgin
  2. Press Enter to send message

Actual output:

A message with two links is actually sent, the first one is (sometimes) corrupted at the 8th byte.
