Installing pre-compiled firmware on TL-WDR4300 - image check fail #4

I have a TL-WDR4300 v1.7 (not Israel) router with the latest version of OpenWrt firmware. Now I need to reflash the device with a modified firmware image. This is got from: https://github.com/xieyaxiongfly/OpenWRT_firmware/blob/master/openwrt-ar71xx-generic-tl-wdr4300-v1-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin 1 However when I try to flash the device with this image, the Image check fails. I understand that if you try to downgrade, this fail is expected. However, I'm still worried to force the upgrade as it could potentially brick the router. Should I go ahead and force the upgrade?

Turns out it bricks the router. Recovered using the TFTP method and tftpd64. Then installed factory image directly. This process still doesn't work with the US version I have of WDR4300. The Eu version managed to upgrade from 192.168.0.1.
