Hi Isa,
You asked the good questions!
There might be some other insertion sequence or transpose database, e.g. ISfinder database, but it is commercial software/database and I cannot obtain it. I once planed to add the new feature to let ISEScan use the ORF/genes provided by user but haven't found time to do so.

Hello, since the ACLAME database hasn't been updated in over 10 years, it doesn't seem the best way to identify transposase genes. Is it possible to feed ORFs identified by other methods to the pipeline to use it IR identification? Or use a different database for ORF identification? Many thanks! Isa
