Cannot shutdown VLC - vlc state: not spawned

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Go to ICEfilms and start VLC stream for any video
2. Go to stream 
3. Press Home button to back out of video during playback

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I should see option to shutdown VLC or go back to video. Instead I see "Go to 
stream" and "streaming controls" only.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
vlc-shares 0.5.4
Windows XP home

Please provide any additional information below.
Here is the debug log- I did not see a way immediately to clear the old data 
but, hopefully this will give you what you need.
