VLC fails to start #42

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Trying to stream any movie

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
A playing movie

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
0.5.5 on W7 with VLC 1.1.11 The Luggage

Please provide any additional information below.
I can see VLC is tring to start in the task manager.
When I start the same command from a command-prompt I get an error "The command
line options couldn't be loaded, check that they are valid.".
Further investigation leeds to --http-port.
This has been changed in r610 of /trunk/core/library/X/Vlc/Commander/Http.php

When reverting to the old version of this file, it works again.
Please advice.

Thanks,
Rob

--http-port has been introduced for compatibility with vlc-1.2-git. I wrongly
supposed it should be fine with 1.1.x too. Thanks for the report.
