Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Access TV-links.eu plugin, choose a Sockshare or Putlocker video
2. Click Start VLC Stream
3. Click Go to Stream

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
A video stream, get "Error loading file" instead. On all videos tried. "Watch
directly" usually works but it stops to buffer every few minutes.

What version of the vlc-shares are you using?
0.5.5 beta 2. Also had the same problem on 0.5.4.

On what operating system?
Win 7 x64

What version of VLC are you using?
1.1.9, have also tried it on 2.0.1

What guide/tutorial did you follow to install vlc-shares? (only if your
problem is installation-related)

Please provide any additional information below, attaching a debug log file
WiiMC version 1.2.6. I have tried the VLC streaming option using VLC Shares
0.5.4 paired with VLC Player 2.0.1. This didn't work, so I uninstalled those
and installed VLC Shares 0.5.5 Beta 2 paired with VLC Player 1.1.9. I still get
the same problem though.

I did a fresh install of VLC Player 1.1.9 and VLC Shares 5.4. I am now able to
get a video stream but there is no audio. Tried several different videos with
the same result.

Ok, this is how I managed to get both video and audio fully streaming: I edited
the "Hq" profile and deleted the audio transcoding code. I noticed that this
makes the "Hq" profile exactly the same as the "AVC/ACC safe" profile. Since
everything works fine now, I am happy. However, I was wondering how to get the
"AVC/ACC safe" profile in WiiMC? All I have to choose from are Hq, Mq, and Lq.

VLC 2 is not supported in VLC Shares 0.5.4. To use VLC 2 you have to use last
VLC Shares 0.5.5 beta + some patch from last commits into svn.

AVC/AAC safe profile can be choose only if source is H264/ACC encoded (ffmpeg
helper must be enabled and configurated in vlc-shares settings). If you want to
manually choose this profile, you can remove codeds constraints from the
profile in the profile management gui.

About sockshare/putlocker plugins: they have to be updated, but i have no time
for this. Patches are welcome :)
