I'm really keen to try this idea on my hot tub. Would it be possible to have some info on how you installed it on yours?

Even if it's just some photos of your setup.

I didn't take pictures when i was connecting it up but its just a case of tapping into the three wires that connect the main controller to the display.

There will be vcc, data and ground wires - I used a multimeter to determine which was which.

Just connect the vcc, data and ground to the relevant pins on the schematic (labelled hot tub).

I think I missed it from the schematic but the vcc will also need to go to the d1 mini's 5v in - I'll add it later today.
