Phone wide proxy? #21

Would it be possible to add an option for a phone wide proxy, the proxy 
option in the settings is only for the browser

Something like that could only be implemented in the operating system, and not 
on a
regular application... Not even using iptables.
The major problem is that proxies operate in the application layer and depend 
on the
application network protocol (HTTP for example).

There are some Android variations that include this functionality (CyanogenMod 
5.0.6
