Hi Xinmiao,

I really like the table in your home README, listing all of the homeworks we have done so far and giving short descriptions of each one. Very useful!

For the ShinyApp, you used the BC Liquor Store dataset we used in class, but you made a lot of changes and improvements to the code, which is great. Several changes I noticed in particular:

• Relevant image placed in the side panel.
• Colour choices changed, using a theme.
• Checkboxes added for “Filter by Country” and “Sort by Price”.
• Colour choice added! I thought this was really cool!
• Link given to data source at the bottom, in a visually appealing way.
• Table placed in a new tab.
• Download button added.
• Table improved to allow for sorting by column, searching, etc.

Overall, great job! I learned a lot from looking at your code and how you implemented all of the above.

Comments:

• You do not need app.R if you are using ui.R and server.R, and can remove the file from your repo.
• Lots of features, solid implementation.
• While it's nice coding practice to have a checkbox sorting results by price, the DT table actually takes care of this for you (play with the arrows next to the table column names).
• When you return one result, text says “We've found 1 options for you”. It would be nice to print “1 option”.
• Remember to include (eg in your README) a reflection on your process - what was easy/hard, etc.

Hi Xinmiao,

Your repo is very well organized - it's easy to find everything. A few things I learned looking at your app/code:

• I didn't know you could add a drop down menu by selected a box - very cool!
• Nice job using themes
• The download button is a great feature
• The interactive table is a nice touch. It does make sorting by price a bit redundant but that's alright.
• I liked the option to change the color of the graph, even if it didn't make the data easier to understand.
• It would've been nice if your code had more comments to help follow along, but that's super minor.
