Why switchy can't support LXDE? #169

It simply does not like any window managers that are not Gnome or KDE.  So 
tiling window managers are out along with stuff like lxde and openbox.  Until 
we get an option to not tie into the builtins of Gnome or KDE it will be like 
this.  I also remember a ticket being opened a while ago for the same issue but 
it seems nothing came of that.

Is there no possibility to make the extension work in lxde? This is the only 
thing i definitely need in chromium.

I'm use openbox, always want this extension.
Any new about this?

I use Openbox, as well, so this is essential. Is this an issue with the 
extension or with Chrome/Chromium. If the problem lies with Chrome, has someone 
filed a bug report?

This worked a few months ago.  I assume it still does.

You can tell chromium to use GNOME settings with

export GNOME_DESKTOP_SESSION_ID=Default

Then switchy writes gnome settings and chromium reads them without a lot of 
GNOME stuff installed.
