Proxy Switchy Icon Doesn't Change Colors for Auto Switch Mode Upon Browser Re-Start #211

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. For Chrome version 5.0.375.127 and Switchy version 1.6.3. Under Options for
Switchy I setup my SOCKS Host to point to my proxy IP and Port. I created 2
Auto Switch Rule for GMail and Google Mail (*://mail.google.com/* and
*://*.gmail.com/*), then Save all settings.
2. If I load up the GMail webpage the Switchy Icon changes colors and shows
that I am using the correct Proxy settings.
3. Now if I close my browser and re-open it then navigate to GMail the Proxy
icon does not switch colors, and it says "Direct Connection". However, I know
that it's not using Direct Connection because my work blocks GMail and I am
able to get to the GMail website.

What is the expected output?
The proxy icon should change colors, and the proxy server should NOT say
"Direct Connection"

What do you see instead?
A white proxy icon, and the proxy server states "Direct Connection"

Operating system:
All | Windows | Mac | Linux
This is happening on Windows 7 OS

This is reproducable with Iron 8.0.555.1 (71000)

The behaviour is fixed by opening the Switchy options and and save them again.
But after a browser restart, the problem occurs again.
