Error when attempting to change Windows 7 proxy settings with switchy enabled #250

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Select proxy with switchy in chrome
2. Attempt to change proxy settings manually under Internet Settings (control 
panel -> Network and Internet -> Internet Options -> Connections -> Lan Settings
3. Error appears: Windows Shell Common DLL has stopped working

What is the expected output?
Ability to modify proxy settings from Windows Internet Options

What do you see instead?
Error:

Windows Shell Common Dll has stopped working
Windows can check online for a solution to the problem.
-Check online for a solution and close the program
-Close the program

I found the answer to this problem. It turns out there were some invalid 
characters I placed in the exceptions feild. So I just removed all my 
expections and reentered them one by one till I found the invalid character 
which I got rid of
