Cant sync settings on two chrome

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Have two chromes/chrome+chromium on the same user profile (my case is, a 
chrome stable release, and chromium)
2. Make a backup on Chromium ( proxyswitchy > option > Import/Export > Make 
Backup )
3. Restore backup on Chrome using the .bak file created on step 2

What is the expected output?
proxyswitchy can read the .bak file from Chromium and apply settings on Chrome

What do you see instead?
it said,
Oops! Cant restore from this backup file!
The backup file is corrupted or invalid

Error Log:
N/a

Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if
possible.
if you dont consider it as bug, i really want to request it as a feature
1. i think there're many ppl just like me, have more than one chrome on the 
same machine, (eg. use a nightly bulid to test new things, use the stable 
release when the nightly bulid is screwed)
2.any version of chrome/chromium share the same ie's lan settings, why cant i 
sync them?

This issue should be completly rewriten: the extension does not sync settings 
using Chrome. Chrome already introduced suppor for syncing extension settings 
but Switchy! doesn't use it.

Implementing this would make the import/export almost obsolete.
