Given that there are already 1-2 projects using this library it would help packagers to have releases.

I second that, obs-studio 26.x is now released and contrary to bundling rnnoise like e.g. mumble does, it requires the library being present: https://github.com/obsproject/obs-studio/blob/master/cmake/Modules/FindLibrnnoise.cmake

Which makes it hard to guess under which version we should actually package rnnoise.

Having release tarballs and tags would also make it easier to package rnnoise in Distributions. I've asked for a Debian package in https://bugs.debian.org/980839 and did not know what to put in the version entry. Just a minor issue but exemplify the use of a version number.

I am also interested in this for packaging in Void Linux (void-linux/void-packages#31203)

I'm packaging this for Gentoo, since it's a new dependency of telegram-desktop. Please tag suitable releases, as that'd help a ton.

Same, I'd like to package it for alpine and it's not tagged. It's a problem.

While I can tag a release, I'm also looking for a maintainer (or co-maintainer) for help with future releases.
