In this new model, each unique third-party iframe will run its own process separate from the main content process of the loading site. This will prevent future timing attacks like Spectre.
To make the transition as smooth as possible, we encourage you to test how your extensions will behave by opting into Fission on Firefox Nightly. We plan to turn it on by default in Firefox for a smaller percentage of the Beta channel by the end of 2020."
