Mods changing appearance #165

This may be already addressed below but since I cannot seem to find exactly what I'm experiencing, I thought I would put it here. What is happening is this. I will make a mod that has several outfits assigned to one plate. It always worked pretty well. I remade some plates very recently with all of the skin changes that occurred on textools. If I use an outfit that has say built-in-tights and assign it to the breastplate, it works beautifully, just as it should. After a day or two, something happens with the mod, and all a sudden the leg bottoms glitch out showing part leg underneath and part tights/leggings or whatever it is. Other times I could make a dress and it works fine, but then after a few days once again the legs start wanting to pop through. Even remaking the modpacks are still producing this error. When the launcher reopens I can provide pics of what it is I see.

I appreciate you taking the time out to read this and I <3 appreciate <3 everything you all do!!!

I've run into this too. It looks like the show/hide metadata from the mod isn't overriding the metadata of the gear piece properly. Here's a couple of screenshots showing the same mod imported through Penumbra and TexTools. And here's the mod I used if that's helpful.

Thanks, and keep up the good work!

Are you using them in character collections?

Gerardizard commented 2 years ago

Not these mods, no. I toyed around with character collections for a bit before deleting them, though, in case that’s relevant. That was before importing these mods.

After restarting in TexTools and loading in my TexTools mods slowly like I mentioned in #169, this isn't an issue for me anymore. So I bet it's the same problem?

Ottermandias commented 2 years ago

"slowly" does not matter at all, its just that your installation was corrupted before and restarting has fixed that. It will get corrupted again if you patch without previously disabling mods.

Gerardizard commented 2 years ago

Patching has nothing to do with it. I’ve reproduced the issue a few times in the last couple days after restarting in TexTools. I can’t reproduce it reliably, which I understand isn’t helpful
