associating sending of notifications to rollup upon events aside from elapsed 
time would allow users additional flexibility.

other events could possibly include:

display dims
display goes to sleep
screensaver becomes active

Idle detection is improving greatly in 2.0, and will allow a variety of 
options, by time, by screen lock, and/or by screen saver (screen asleep is 
handled as an or of the two).  Screen dim is not yet supported, and I am not 
sure I will have time to look into adding that.  Flagging as started for now, 
and milestone 2.0
