Update package metadata #23

(Tests will be a mess until this branch is rebased on top of the CI/CD pipeline PR.)

I rebased this so tests should be green in a few seconds. Once this is merged, I will create a new release (I will bump the minor version because we "dropped" support for some previously "supported" Python versions).
