Check Azure credit usage #2

@Stuart0l @varshith15

Can one of you check the usage of Azure credits?

We have $40,000 from Azure till 6/30/2022.

@Stuart0l mentioned that there are $32,500 remaining. It means we used $7,500 in the past month?

If it is the case, it's likely there are something wrong. At least, we can't avoid $75,00 per month as we only have $40,000 and we should reserve at least half of our credits for the evaluations later.

Could you see:

It should give us a good idea how to plan the money.

Thanks!

I don't mean we have $32,500 remaining. The total budget is $32,500. I can't set it to a number more than $32,500. image And the current credit usage is $13,172.16. It's consumed at a normal speed. We didn't spend $7,500 in the past week. image I can't check the detailed billing information of our subscription in Azure portal, it's not displayed there. image @tianyin can you check it here? https://www.microsoftazuresponsorships.com/ I can't see anything here since I don't own the subscription.

Thanks @Stuart0l !

I think the error of the cost analysis is because the month was chosen to be "June" but June's cost will only be available after June.

Can you check May's cost analysis?

Are you owning the account uiuc-dfast? I don't have the password and phone number.

If you don't have, we need to contact Andrew.

@Stuart0l, Andrew has transferred the ownership (which is attached to a phone) to me. Now, it is attached to mine phone. I will transfer to you once you arrive CU and have a US phone number.

I check the detailed usage and cost analysis.

$40,000 USD is the total grant we received from Azure. It is not for this year, but accumulated since 2020 (when we started the depfast project).

We have use $20829 USD and we have $19,171 USD remaining.

The grant is applied once a year. So, $19,171 is all what we have till 6/30/2022. It's already 4X generous than GCP (which only gives $5,000 per year).

Since @Stuart0l joined the project (I count it as May 1), we have used $1713.27 USD. It's reasonable, considering that @Stuart0l and @varshith15 ran a series experiments. Given that @Stuart0l is closing the multi-region epaxos experiments, I think the cost will be even lower.

@Stuart0l @varshith15 Please continue making sure to save the credits and reserve the credits to the evaluation or paper submission time.
