Spaces between words in Safari #199

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
I'm loading Hyphenator.js in Safari on a div with multiple child <p> tags. The
div has class "hyphenate". Hyphenation occurs, but there is a space on every
spot where there might be a hyphen if needed.

I'm using Hyphenator 4.2.0 on Safari 5.1.10 on Mac OS X 10.6.8

In all other browsers, it works perfectly.

Hi

Judging your screenshot you are using a custom font-face (Alegreya).
Sadly I don't have Safari 5.1 anymore to fully test it. But looking at the
Screenshots at Browserstack there seems to be a problem with the SVG Font while
WOFF works fine. So make sure that Safari loads and uses the WOFF-Font.

See https://code.google.com/p/hyphenator/issues/detail?id=100 for the same
issue (with an other font).
