Great initiative, I cannot find another addon with this simple goal. BUT:

1) This should open directly whatsapp web

— and not a https://api.whatsapp.com which asks to choose between "discussion" or the app. (What app? is this addon installable on mobile Firefox?) and after selecting the "discussion" — even more annoying — to choose between the app and the WhatsApp web!

2) If there is an already open https://web.whatsapp.com/ page/tab, it should go to that instead of opening a new tab or popup.

Is the API page needed in order to be able to show the "send message to" list of contacts? Couldn't that be done directly in web.whatsapp.com (and in the already opened one, even if it had to refresh)?

In the present state, it is not more convenient (no fewer clicks/actions) than copying the present link, going to the web.whatsapp.com, selecting contacts, and pasting.

Looking forward to furthering developments. Having a shortcut would be great.
