Added API documentation for the top-level APIs, fixed bugs #15

  1. Added API docs for the top-level APIs, there's still more needed for some of the supporting APIs.
  2. Fix #13 by renaming "jar" to "pack" in the relevant places.
  3. Fix #14 by renaming the interface.
