Merge async fifo feature branch into develop.

This feature branch contains an implementation of an async fifo for use inconjunction with ASRC.

Oh crikey. Somehow the henkmuller branch seems to have walked ahead of the xmos branch. The give-away one is that the TODOs were no longer in that branch. I'll find a way to reconcile these.
