Exit script if apt-get commands fail and improve device name parsing

This PR contains the changes to address:

• make the script more robust so that installation stops if libevdev-dev package is missing. See here for more info.
• improve parsing of device name, as xvf3615-ua and xvf3615-int was not accepted
• fix indentations and printouts
