Closes: AP-356

Summary: including xcommon_cmake to the examples and tests, changes to pytests and pathlibs for path management instead of os.

Changes:

Adding xcommon_cmake support to examples
Replacing build system to xcommon_cmake for tests
Using pytest for tests
Adapting Jenkins to use pytest

Next steps:

Next step would be a doc update.
