Implement search panel style #190

Implement the search panel style from the designs:

Not sure of how much dev effort it will take to make this match the design. At the very least, I think just using a gray Algolia icon will help.

Discussed with Darick today and he views this issue as being a high priority based on the likely high number of users who use search.
