I can confirm this error, clicking to run any external checks for host or ip
throws this error in console:
"Error: popup is null
Source File: chrome://ipv6ident/content/ipv6ident.js
Line: 780"
A reload of the page in which you tried to get info from allows the popup to
work again.

I don't get any error message, the script just fails to work.

Yeah, I've discovered that after rolling 1.1rc1. Will have a fix sometime later
today.

OK now the addon works better, however after doing a netcraft lookup the
following happens:
while that netcraft tab opens it will not perform any other lookups on any
other tabs becuase of the same problem above. it takes a few page refreshes to
get it working again.
does this have to do with it being a button and the browser thinks the script
is "busy"?

Can you add the preference 'ipv6ident.debug' as bool (in about:config), set it
to true, start firefox from the commandline and send me the lines of debug
output in the terminal / command box when you right/left click on the button?
Also which platform is this again?

how would I do that with cmd then?

Alt-F2 -> cmd
c:\Program Files\Mozilla\firefox\firefox.exe
(or something similiar, try to search for firefox.exe on your system). Be sure
to close all firefox instances before running the above command - otherwise it
will just open a new window in the running instance.

You might also need to enable browser.dom.window.dump.enabled in about:config.

I have tried 1.1rc3:
The IP and dns windows are not shown at all.
$ uname -a
Linux OE1508 2.6.38-8-generic #42-Ubuntu SMP Mon Apr 11 03:31:24 UTC 2011
x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

are on-board of ubuntu 11.04.

are you both using the addon bar or status-4-ever (addon that brings the old
status bar back)??

I am using the Add-on bar

ok I have another FF profile that does not have status 4 ever in it and it does
work (using the addon bar). It is working in status 4 ever as well.
I am using windows server 2008 x64 with FF4.0.1 though.

I installed "status-4-evar" and now 1.1rc3 works =)

Glad to have helped with that ;-), however I think that it also needs fixed to
work with the add-on bar. I wish that Mozilla did not get rid of the status bar
to begin with.
