Address not correctly updated when switching between IPv6 and IPv4 only networks

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Join a a functional dual stack network
2. Browse to a page that has both A and AAAA records published
3. Join a new network that is only v4 capable, refresh page in the same tab

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I would expect showip to detect that it is no longer accessing the http content 
over IPv6 and update the display to show the correct v4 address(s)

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
MacOS 10.6.8
Firefox 5.0.1
ShowIP 1.0
