ShowIP 2.1 breaks Google Calendar #90

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Clean Firefox 27.0.1 with ShowIP 2.1 installed
2. go to Google Calendar
3. press the < or > button to move a week

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
the Today button will vanish and the page will keep status "Loading"
indefinitely. A new calendar item can be created by clicking in the calendar,
but the end time cannot be set because mouse clicks are then ignored.
Problem occurs since the update to v2.1 on Monday 19/2.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
ShowIP v2.1 (used with FireFox 27.0.1 on Windows 7SP1 64 bit

I have the same problem with ShowIP v2.1 on Firefox 27.0.1 (ubuntu 12.04.4
LTS). To reproduce the problem I don't have to do the steps reported in this
issue, the javascript error (TypeError: db is not defined) is thrown as soon as
I open GCal by an ajax request made by dozer*.js script.

Samo problem on Win7 64 bit, FF 27.0.1; Calendar is unresponsive and it's
impossible to save new events, search for events or moving between months/weeks

I have the same problem - Calender don't do anything if ShowIP is active. Is
there a way to fix this issue?

I have the exact same problem. ShowIP v2.1 might now be malware disguised as a
previously trusted add-on:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/showip/reviews/?src=api

I strongly suggest removing ShowIP v2.1 and using an alternative. WorldIP
3.0.8 appears to function nicely as a replacement (for me).
