What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Can't use external grldr.mbr from grubinst?

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Please provide any additional information below.
Not sure if there is a switch in the new grubinst_1.3 to use external grldr.mbr 
instead of of the embeded one? If not, could one be added?
