How to make scientific videos?

Step 1: Write a script for video:

use simple direct language
describe images and charts verbally, not only by saying 'as you can see here'
Include all important information – don’t assume everyone can see the visuals
An example of Script Template including duration, action in the scene, dialog, etc.
Put the most critical and eye catching things in the front :

Step 2: Record a Video via Zoom Clips or PoweverPoints:

Record module by module, we can always add the small modules into one components
Use more verbal words instead of oral words, keep the sentence consice
Show the content in a larger font or zoom in to let the viewer see clearly

Step 3: Edit the Video via CapCut
Avoid using animations and visual effects such as flashing, simple appearing and disappearing is okay
Avoid using small fonts
The cover of the video should only contain title, no author

Step 4: Export the video and srt file in required format

Video and Supplementary Material deadline: Thursday, September 21, 2023
Video submission must also include a caption file in srt format.

- Thus, we are not recording the presenter's face
- Also no author information or affiliation information (logos, footers, credits, etc.). in the video, just focus on the project information
