App fails to notify after a few minutes running. #484

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Start service
2.Test notification (successfully)
3.After a few minutes, event occurs that should generate notification but 
nothing happens. 

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected notification, nothing happens.

Nothing on clipboard 

What version of Android are you using?
2.3.4 DROID 3
