logger.cpp: Open logfiles in append mode to allow copytruncate operations #155

I just realized I previously did not test this properly. This option might work, but I did not test it.

This is an attempt at fixing #132

Since #172 has landed, your issue should be addressed by switching to --log=syslog. Therefore I'll close this.
