Procurement crash on login #319

What version of Procurement are you using?

1.7.2

On what operating system?

win7 64

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.launch procurement
2.login
3.stash tabs and characters load; on done notification, unhandled error, then 
crash.

What is the expected output?

Tab viewer after load

What do you see instead?

I'm merging this with Issue 303, since it is the same issue. Please take a look 
at my reply to that issue as it is applicable.
