Release zip includes changes vs git #16

The only thing we really expect is missing files due to exclusions (and maybe the addition of xe files)

Note .gitignore is currently missing from release zip

Some of the changes were updates to the README as the script could not properly grab the versions of the repo. This was related to the "shallow clone to commit" I attempted to do. I'm replacing this with a tree-less clone for now.
