Streams not loading after 5 streams watched #178

Please first read the documentation. Problems affecting the client, e.g. Plex or Emby should be reported there in the forum.

Describe the bug once more than 5 streams have been opened (seperatly) xteve fails to respond to any further requests

Server (please complete the following information):

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Enter plex
  2. Open A Stream
  3. Close A Stream
  4. Repeat 4 Further Times
  5. xteve stops responding to further requests to open different streams

Expected behavior Xteve should fufil the request and the stream should play via plex

I need more information, the xteve log from the first to the last stream call. And run:

Hello, i ran xteve -info but cannot get the issue to replicate, now i am questioning if it was perhaps an issue with the plex client however i will update you if it happens again as i use this fantastic piece of software all the time

now, instead its terminating the stream and just leaving the client hanging, im not sure if this is a plex or xteve issue

i did edit the logs to remove channel urls

The log looks good. If the problem occurs again, you can compare that with VLC and the xteve.m3u file as well. I know that Emby sometimes has problems and the stream doesn't stop, but I've never seen that on Plex. xTeVe monitors every client connection.

Not happening if i watch the streams in VLC, strange, should i post on plex forums?

You can try it, but since xTeVe is not an official tuner, you probably won't have much success.

I also have this issue, playback stopping after 4 streams, but also happens when buffer is set to VLC
